Pray for the Truth

Read the Quran, and follow every word to its root.

Read the Quran in English alongside the Arabic text, compare four translations, and inspect any verse word by word — each word linked to the Arabic root it comes from.

The root dictionary

Most Arabic words grow from a root of three or four consonants that carries a core idea. Every root attested in the Quran has its own entry here: what the root means, the forms it takes in the Quran, the senses of each form, and every verse it appears in.

You can browse the dictionary directly, or reach any root while reading — open a verse’s word analysis and follow the root beside the word.
